Whether you've just adopted a new dog or have an old friend that needs a refresher, Platinum Dog Services will take care of your family friend.
The best investment for a harmonious home and loving companion is to install good behaviour or fix any uruly behaviour as early as possible. Training is beneficial for every dog at any age.
As a professional dog behaviourist and owner-trainer, we offer one-to-one training sessions at your home or in the countryside, so you and your family friend can learn ideal behaviours in all situations.
To be a responsible dog owner, learning the basic principles of safe and successful dog training is essential. My training sessions are most effective with the owner present, so you can learn all the right tools and methods to reinforce the correct behaviours long after ending supervised training sessions. By learning appropriate behaviours, and how to communicate effectively with your dog, you will set yourself, and your pup, up for success.
Training the owner is essential to ensuring a healthy relationship between you and your dog and the long-term retention of good behavioural Training. I also can record each session so you can have a valuable resource to build upon when reinforcing the Training at home.
I provide affordable and effective dog training in Bushey and the surrounding areas to rectify behavioural issues in even the most unruly dogs. A well-trained dog is a happy dog.
For behavioural problems I offer a free 20 minute assessment to help you and your dog decide if you can work with me and so I can advise on how I feel we can best move forward.
Why Phil?
Dogs have played a big part in my life, both personally and professionally. With Platinum Dog Services, I'm applying everything I've learned about training dogs to the highest level over the last 30 years, to help dogs and their owners across Hertfordshire.
Early in my career, I served as a police officer with the Wiltshire Constabulary (4 years) and as a commissioned officer in the RAF, Provost & Security Services (21 years). Of particular note was my appointment as Senior Training Officer at the RAF Police Dog School and Defence Animal Centre, managing over 400 military dogs. I audited the narcotics search dog team in the UK (HM Customs & Excise and Border Agency) and Hong Kong (Customs & Excise), as well as managing the development of various search dog breeds and search techniques.
Until Recently, I was a Senior Security Manager at Westfield Europe Ltd and was based at Westfield London (White City) shopping centre. I was responsible for the delivery of complex, intelligence-led, safety, security and crime prevention risk mitigation measures (include four dog teams and 12 dogs).
I have also completed DBS Background Screening (Enhanced).
Recently retired, I reside in Bushey, Hertfordshire, with my wife, Rosie, and my hobbies include dogs, photography, historical research, motorcycling…and dogs!
